目錄

The rise of digital banking continues globally and as lockdown measures encourage consumers to bank from home, digital use has increased for a range of tasks and mobile banking adoption has seen a significant uplift globally. RFi Group's Global Digital Banking 2020 report is a comprehensive review of crucial aspects of banking channel usage, digital adoption, and the rise of FinTechs across ten international markets of Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Singapore, UK, and the USA. The study investigates changes to digital banking adoption and channel preferences over time and across key demographics and factors that fuelled the rise of digital. The findings of the study are based on primary interviews with 11,000 consumers across the ten markets conduced at the height of lockdown restrictions during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic between April and June 2020.

The rise of digital banking continues globally. As lockdown measures encourage consumers to bank from home, digital use has increased for a range of tasks, most notably for product applications. Increases are also evident in mobile engagement globally, driven by younger consumers. Mobile banking is likely to continue growing, as digital users can see themselves shifting away from online banking.

FinTech usage also continues on its upwards trajectory and consumers are increasingly open to using digital-only providers, underlining the importance of understanding their perceived benefits. Yet consumers continue to place most trust in traditional providers. Trust remains the banks' significant competitive advantage as consumers look for stability in uncertain times.
