According to US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, while taking treatment for other medical problems, approximately 1.7 million hospitalized patients every year get affected by HCAIs, and more than 98 thousand patients (one in 17) deaths are seen due to HCAIs. To curb the prevalence of healthcare-associated infections, hospitals are increasingly adopting antimicrobial coatings, which is projected to boost the growth of the antimicrobial coatings market during the forecast period.
