This report is the tenth edition of the research of the market of technical silicon in the CIS.

Market monitoring has been ongoing since 2000.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the market of technical silicon in Russia and the CIS countries.

The object of study is technical silicon.

A feature of this study is that the review provides a fairly detailed description of the global silicon market.

This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data were used by the Federal State Statistics Service, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation; Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on statistics, GCS and GTS of Ukraine, used data from the US State Geological Survey (USGS), UNdata database, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, as well as websites of manufacturers of technical silicon.

Chronological scope of the study: 1991-2019, forecast - 2020-2030.

Research geography: Russian Federation, Ukraine - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan - general retrospective market analysis; the rest of the world - general information about the dynamics and characteristics of the market.

The report consists of 8 parts, contains 156 pages, including 53 tables, 33 figures and 1 appendix.

The first chapter of the report gives a brief description of the global market for technical silicon.

The second chapter presents data on the reserves and deposits of the main types of raw materials for the production of industrial silicon in the CIS, and also describes the technology of silicon production and equipment used.

The third chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of production of industrial silicon in the CIS. The chapter describes the quality requirements for technical silicon. The chapter provides data on production volumes of industrial silicon in the CIS and individual countries, information on the state of the main manufacturing enterprises.

The fourth chapter analyzes the foreign trade in technical silicon of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The dynamics of exports and imports is given, the trends in export-import supplies are described, as well as information on the volumes and directions of deliveries of the largest exporters and importers of silicon.

The fifth chapter of the report provides data on the dynamics of export-import prices for technical silicon in Russia in 1996-2019, as well as prices on the domestic market of the Russian Federation.

The sixth chapter estimates the consumption of industrial silicon in Russia. This section presents the balance of production and consumption of silicon, as well as estimated the industrial structure of consumption. The data on volumes of supplies of silicon to main consumers are also given.

The seventh chapter is devoted to the analysis of the consumption of technical silicon in Ukraine. This section presents the balance of production and consumption of silicon, as well as estimated the industrial structure of consumption.

In the eighth chapter, a forecast is prepared for the production and consumption of technical silicon in Russia for the period until 2030.

The appendix contains contact information of the main producers and consumers of technical silicon in the CIS.

The target audience of the study:
