A repeater, in telecommunications terms, can be defined as an electronic device that receives a signal, amplifies and retransmits it. Repeaters are used to extend transmissions so that the signal can cover longer distances or be received on the other side of an obstruction. Globally, an increasing telecommunication user base and increasing mobile devices are expected to remain one of the key growth drivers for signal repeaters during the period of study.

Geographically, North America dominated the signal repeater market driven by higher demand and consumption of signal repeaters due to higher users of mobile and other gadgets coupled with a well-established communications network in the region. North America was followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific as second and third largest market for the signal repeater market.
