"Digital agency services remain in high demand because they help enterprises and public bodies to understand, engage with, and serve customers and citizens better," said Douglas Hayward, research director for Digital Strategy Consulting and Agency Services at IDC. "But to remain relevant at a time of change and uncertainty, agency services providers must think and act business-first, and they must bring to the client a broad range of creative, consulting, and technology services. They must also play well in complex ecosystems and be highly attuned to the 'people side' of major change projects if they are to help their clients to succeed."
