The Frost Vision of a Smart Society

City planners are pursuing their smart city vision and with it the promise of what a smart city will bring to city planners and residents. While the development of these plans is usually aligned with the most pressing issues that city planners are trying to solve, residents of the city are usually excluded from the equation. The focus on smart city development tends to be on technology and infrastructure, while excluding other key elements such as citizens or residents and cultural and environmental considerations. Frost and Sullivan terms this as a smart society development and believes that smart city development is just the start of a smart society.
