Calcium hypochlorite is an inorganic compound used for the water treatment as the bleaching agents. It decomposes in water releasing oxygen and chlorine. It is used to treat the wells, lakes, ponds, water bodies filters, controlling and removing algae in reservoirs, and others. Moreover, it helps in the prevention of water-related diseases such as cholera and typhoid.
