The automotive exhaust market size was worth US$ XX billion in 2020 and is estimated to reach US$ XX billion by 2028, growing at a CAGR of XX % during the forecast period (2021-2028).

The automotive exhaust is used to carry away the gasses from the combustion chamber. The system comprises of muffler, oxygen sensor, catalytic converter, hanger, exhaust manifold, exhaust joints, cat-back and other components. The exhaust system is of great importance because it dissipates six gases, three of which are toxic, including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, and nitrogen monoxide. The automotive exhaust is used to dissipate harmful gases, muffling the sound, minimize vibrations, heat transfer and increase fuel efficiency.

The materials used in the automotive exhaust are EN8 steel, stainless steel, cast iron and mild steel. The selection for the material is made based on heat resistance, wear and corrosion resistance.
