According to CSIL estimates, in 2018 the market for bathroom furniture, furnishings and wellness in Europe was worth approximately EUR 12 billion, with a 2.1% growth if compared to 2017. Better performances in Central East Europe, as well as in Spain.
The above-mentioned figures include: bathroom furniture and accessories, WC seats, bathtubs and whirlpools, hydrosanitars, faucets, shower trays, shower enclosures and multifunctional shower booths. The ten top players in the bathroom sector provide almost 45% of total consumption. Over 10 million bathrooms have been fully replaced, including a 5% of luxury bathrooms and a 40% of mid-upper.
Roca, Grohe, Duravit, Novellini and Porcelanosa registered a good progression of their sales during 2018
Bathroom specialists, independent, hold around 25% of the market in value.
EBITDA margin is on average approximately 9%-10% in the European market for bathroom furniture and wellness.
Better performances are registered, among the others, by Geberit, Villeroy&Boch, Dansani and Vola.
