In a 10-year span (2013-2023) consumption of kitchen furniture jumps from 22 to 29 million units, with a yearly 3% growth on average. With an average annual rate of growth of 5% in USD over the last five years, the value of international trade of kitchen furniture reached USD 6.9 billion in 2018 (5.8 billion in EUR).
Approximately 2.1 million kitchen units were imported by the 60 monitored countries during the year 2018 (previously: 1.9 million in 2016 and 2.0 million in 2017).
In the next five years, the kitchen furniture sales (in volume) are expected to grow approximately at an average rate of 2.5% per year.
An additional market of about USD 1.2 billion will be available for kitchen furniture exporters, as the value of the international trade of kitchen furniture will jump from USD 6.9 to USD 8.1 billion.
