M2M represents a relatively small opportunity for operators in terms of connectivity revenue, but one that is growing significantly and open to a multitude of new applications and services.
The M2M market generated USD10 billion in connectivity revenue in 2013 and this is set to grow to USD88 billion during the next 10 years. Michele Mackenzie (Principal Analyst) joined Analysys Mason in February 2014. She has 15 years of experience as an analyst and has recently written reports on the role of M2M in smart cities, intelligent buildings, and manufacturing and supply chain applications.
Morgan Mullooly (Analyst) is part of Analysys Mason's Enterprise team. His primary area of focus is on the M2M, or Internet of Things (IoT) sector. This includes analysis on a variety of topics including IoT enterprise requirements, forecasting, vendor profiles and service provider scorecards. Morgan was previously the lead analyst for Analysys Mason's Spectrum research programme, focusing on spectrum valuation, LTE strategies and white space technologies. Morgan has a Master's degree in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics.
