Subscriber Data Management is a concept picking up interest in the telecoms market, where service providers aim to consolidate data they hold about their users into a single database, so that they can implement advanced analytics, utilize Artificial Intelligence, and have the ability to know more about their subscribers. There are many ways of implementing SDM in the telco network and in most cases, this is a complicated and lengthy process because networks are multi-vendor, fragmented in terms of technology and not necessarily built with future compatibility in mind.

This report is an introduction to the SDM concept and outlines what options telcos have to evolve from their disparate, isolated databases to a homogenous and consistent platform. The report also includes profiles of a few vendors that aim to help telcos implement SDM.
