It includes breaking news from China and abroad, the latest market data (price, import & export, production, consumption, operating rates, etc.), in-depth analysis of market trends, Chinese government policy, performance of Chinese producers, M&A, new technology, and expert commentary from industry insiders.

Here is the Editor's Note for you to know about the March issue specifically:

China's sugar companies successively stopped sugarcane processing for the 2017/18 extracting season. As of 28 Feb., 2018,

sugar production for 2017/18 in Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang was completed, and that in Hainan and Yunnan was still underway.

Three large sweetener producers - QHT, Baolingbao and Guilin Layn - released their 2017 preliminary earnings estimates,

announcing increases in their revenue. However, Nanning Sugar sustained revenue decrease and huge net loss in 2017, according

to its financial report published on 21 March.

Here are some significant events in China's sweetener industry in March.

On 5 March, Dongtai Agricultural Commission (in Jiangsu Province) announced that the construction of locally-based Jianggang

Nascent Stevia Industrial Park covering an area of 153.33 ha (2,300 mu) kicked off.

On 6 March, NHU approved its subsidiary's use of self-raised fund to build bio-fermentation projects that include a 60,000 t/a

sorbitol production line.

On 19 March, Yufeng Group put a 400,000 t/a HFCS project into production, seeing the booming HFCS business at home.

Now, the big health industry develops well, which boosts the development of prebiotics like FOS, inulin, GOS and lactulose.

In Jan. 2018, China's export volume and price of sorbitol declined, mainly due to the decreased overseas demand. It is expected

that the sorbitol export volume will increase after March.
