DETAILED OVERVIEW:

Venture Development Corporation' s Wireless Data Services - Mobilizing Enterprise Applications Annual Research Service is new service and an extension of VDC' s Enterprise Mobility Service that began publication in 2004. The five-volume service was designed as a strategic planning tool for vendors participating in all levels of the wireless data value chain or vendors considering entering the market.

The report is designed to provide insight to market forces driving the evolution of the market for wireless data services in the enterprise. The entire value chain is covered in the report and relationships between vendors within the value chain are analyzed.

Wireless data services can be defined as any data that is delivered to a mobile device that is not voice. Examples of wireless data applications include: wireless e-mail, messaging (IM, SMS, etc.), location-based services, and the mobile Internet.
