Keeping Electronic Health Records Can Improve Patient Safety

Having Electronic Health Records (EHR) available puts critical information on a patient's medical imaging, pathology reports, medication records, and medical history right at the point-of-care where a diagnosis can be made with complete information increasing efficience and avoiding redundant procedures, thereby increasing patient safety.

Tiered Storage Provides Cost Effective HIPAA Compliance

Tiered storage provides immediate access to critical information by steamlining and automating data storage. The highest level of storage provides immediate access to data stored on expensive high-quality media but less critical data is moved to tiers in sequence with more economical media. Automated data migration tools are built into tiered storge technologies.

Storage Virtualization Makes HIPAA Compliance Manageable for Healthcare Applications

Storage virtualization may be making the greatest contribution to increasing adoption of HIPAA compliant electronic records in healtcare applications as it makes the application far more manageable for healthcare professionals.
