Technology Market Penetration and Roadmapping

With the growing need for better therapeutics, and the current patent cliff that is underway, therapies such as monoclonal antibodies, recombinant protein therapeutics and even vaccines for a whole host of indications are in high demand. Conventionally expression systems were utilized to aid in the development and production of these therapeutics. Mammalian expression systems are mostly developed using Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells and HEK-293 (Human Embryonic Kidney) cells.
