Abstract
Reliable short range communication technology - moving towards ubiquitous world
The research service assesses the key stakeholder activities across the near
field communication (NFC) value chain. Innovations and trends pertaining to
stakeholders including hardware providers, handset manufacturers, application
providers, trusted service management providers, and mobile network operators
are assessed. The influence of these stakeholders in enabling adoption and
growth of NFC is also evaluated. Key industry challenges and initiatives
undertaken by stakeholders to address challenges are assessed. Evaluation of
key competing technologies for mobile payments is done using analytical
methods.
