Abstract
This research service assesses the role of energy harvesters in building
automation systems. The study restricts itself to electromagnetic and
thermoelectric technologies, similarly it does not delve into the
communication aspect of building automation systems. It covers the background,
application areas and technology capability of EH technologies. The
stakeholders are prioritized and their spheres of influence are realized with
the help of Mitchell's Stakeholder Evaluation. Analytical Hierarchical Process
(AHP) is implemented to understand the factors that drive EH technology in
building automation systems and the impact the parameters which comprise the
factors have on it.
