Abstract
The Saudi Arabian housing industry has come up as the one of the most vibrant
segment of the real-estate industry. Despite the 2009 economic turmoil, the
Saudi housing industry witnessed remarkable growth opportunities and became
one of the fastest growing housing industries in the Middle-East region. The
housing industry in Saudi Arabia has also seen remarkable growth in the past
due to the emergence of a number of real-estate developers, the growing demand
for real-estate finance, and residential property, according to our market
research report, " Saudi Arabia Housing Sector Outlook" . Over a period of
time, young population-base, government funding, and booming economy, together
with other secondary factors have led to provide the preferred platform for
the housing industry to develop new horizons.
Although the Kingdom is witnessing huge developments in the housing
construction, housing market still suffers from large demand-supply gap due to
rapid expansion of expatriate population along with domestic population and
rapidly declining household size. Moreover, majority of the Kingdom's
population does not have their own houses and live in rented houses.
Resultantly, Saudi Arabia will need to construct over 1 Million houses by
2014. This demand could further escalate, if the mortgage law to ensure easy
financing is enacted in the country's legislature.
The report also provides detailed analysis of the housing sector in Saudi
Arabia. It presents thorough insight into various housing segments by
province, ownership, investments etc. Most importantly, the report also
provides future outlook taking into consideration the effect of global
economic crisis on the housing sector of the country. Base drivers,
opportunities, and future residential projects are also discussed which will
drive the housing industry in the Kingdom.
Additionally, the report sheds light on the emerging industry trends and
discusses the market structure along with current and past market performance
of the Saudi Arabia housing industry. Our analysts have also identified key
players in the market and included their detail business description along
with their recent activities.
