Abstract
A Strategic Overview of the European EMS Industry
This report covers the strategic issues facing one of the key sectors of the
European electronics industry. However, growth will be in a rapidly changing
market place. The ability to offer a complete range of manufacturing services
- from box-build to complete supply chain management - is now virtually a
prerequisite for medium to larger sized European Electronic Manufacturing
Services (EMS) companies. Companies are also facing industry consolidation and
increased competition from low-cost producing regions. In addition to market
forecasts by sector and country, the report includes 20 detailed profiles of
the major EMS companies in Europe and additional information on around 100
smaller to medium sized players within the major countries or regions. The
report ends with a directory of over 1,000 EMS manufacturing locations in
Europe.
