accounted for two-thirds of the total value of construction works carried out
in Ukraine between January and October 2011.

2010 and is estimated to have grown by 10% in 2011.
Word from the author
“Construction market in Ukraine was one of the most hit by the crisis,
not only in Europe but also worldwide. The 15% decline in 2008 was followed by
an almost 50% nose-dive in 2009, and a 5% decrease in 2010. This year, the
construction market is finally recovering, with the value of construction work
conducted growing by more than 11% in January-September. The sector's recent
upturn is mostly driven by infrastructure development, in particular by
preparations for the Euro 2012 Football Championship which have entered a
decisive phase.” Robert Obetkon, Senior Construction Analyst.
