目錄

What does the report cover?

Wetlaid nonwovens are the smallest of the major nonwoven process types, accounting for only 2.7% of global nonwovens in 2016. During 2016, 259,600 tonnes or 6.4 billion m2, valued at $737.6 million, will be consumed globally. By 2021, this is projected to grow by almost 6% in value terms. Additionally, durable end uses as a group are growing at a higher rate and wallcoverings and other durable end uses are growing even faster. The wetlaid process is one of the most versatile nonwoven processes/products in its ability to process diverse fibre types, from fibreglass and carbon to cotton and abaca. This versatility offers both cost and performance opportunities. Wetlaid nonwovens continue to introduce and grow new products in some of the older, established markets while also participating in some of the newest nonwovens applications.
