目錄

Spunlaid nonwovens are now the largest process used to produce nonwovens, accounting for 48.8% of global nonwovens consumption in 2016.

Spunlaid nonwovens include spunbond, meltblown and SMS (spunbond/meltblown/spunbond) process/products. They dominate the large hygiene, medical, liquid filtration, and building and roofing nonwoven markets, and participate in thirteen other nonwoven markets. In 2016, spunlaid will supply 4.6 million tonnes or 136.9 billion square metres to the global market, valued at $15.6 billion. Spunlaid nonwovens are projected to account for 6.7 million tonnes or 206.5 billion square metres, valued at $22.5 billion by 2021.

What methodology is used?

The Future of Spunlaid Nonwovens to 2021 is based on both primary and secondary research. Primary research included interviews with key participants in marketing, sales, production and product development for the entire spunlaid nonwovens supply chain: raw materials, nonwoven substrate, nonwoven converters, and nonwoven marketers. Key participants interviewed included personnel from spunlaid nonwovens producers, private label producers, raw material suppliers, and general industry experts. These general industry experts include personnel from major process equipment suppliers, and other industry consultants. Secondary research included information acquired from technical literature, reports, papers, conference proceedings, company information, and other trade, business or government sources.
