Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are a critical component in almost every commercial building. In some climates, HVAC systems can account for more than 40% of total building energy consumption. These systems also have dramatic effects in other critical business areas for both large and small commercial facilities, such as tenant comfort, maintenance program effectiveness and efficiency, and whole building optimization.
