Abstract
Verizon continues on its course of innovation within the telco TV space with
the FiOS TV Widget Bazaar platform. Following the app store model and offering
a web-based software development kit (SDK) enables Verizon to continually
evolve, refresh and expand its widget offering rapidly and with minimal
incremental cost. Its focus on social TV, sports applications and now
merchandise purchasing provide the FiOS TV Widget Bazaar with both relevance
and monetisation opportunities.
