titanium products, etc. The review also includes future outlook of the world
titanium market. The titanium minerals, ilmenite and rutile, are the main
sources of titanium, a low density, strong and corrosion resistant metal that
is important in the aerospace industry. However, the chief use (94%) of
titanium minerals is in the form of titanium dioxide, a white pigment used in
paint, plastics, rubber and paper.
