High demand for hydrogen as a cleaner fuel and government regulations for desulfurization of petroleum products are boosting the hydrogen generation market

The global hydrogen generation market is expected to reach a size of USD 152.09 billion by 2021, at a CAGR of 5.2% from 2016 to 2021. Hydrogen is the most common element, and is used in chemical processing, petroleum recovery and refining, metal production and fabrication, aerospace, and fuel cells. Petroleum refinery and ammonia production are the major sectors which have the largest demand for hydrogen, while automotive fuel is an emerging sector with huge hydrogen potential in the future.
