The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) market is still evolving and
maturing, and has gone through some radical changes the last few years. Some
ADAS applications are well-known and appreciated by consumers, such as
park/reverse assist and adaptive cruise control. However, most of them are
still not fully understood or even known by consumers, e.g. collision
mitigation, even though it is being promoted by both National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) and New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). This is
the second edition of IMS Research report on Advanced Driver Assistance
Systems, due for publication in March 2011. It aims to portray the changes and
trends within the market, review what is still undecided, and present unit and
revenue forecasts. The report covers the period from 2009 to 2019.
