Abstract
Report Summary
IMS Research published the third edition of its highly regarded and detailed
study on the global PV inverter market in July 2010. This edition greatly
expands on the well received first and second editions, and now includes 330
pages and 165 forecast tables. The report also contains additional analysis
of more countries, provides shipments in MW terms and discusses the potential
for micro-inverters and power optimizer solutions.
The premium version includes on-going updates to all the forecasts on an at
least quarterly basis or when there is a significant event within the
industry. These updates carry on until the publication of the 4th Edition of
the report in June 2011.
This is the only report available on the global solar inverter market that
is used and supported by 40 of the largest suppliers to the market.
' The World Market for PV Inverters - 2010 Edition' is the only detailed
report focusing on the global PV inverter market. It was compiled over a
6-month period by collecting real sales and shipment data from the leading
suppliers of the market. The study provides highly detailed analysis and
market sizes (in revenues, MW, unit shipments, price per watt) for 18 of the
largest markets. A worldwide overview is also included along with analysis by
major region (EMEA, Asia, Americas).
Forecasts for each country (by power rating, by type, by isolation, etc.) are
presented, compiled based on data relating to each country' s current and
future feed-in tariffs/incentives and other key factors such as module pricing.
Market shares by major region and type are also shown (for 2009, 2008 and
2007) along with profiles of the leading suppliers to the market.
The following PV inverter markets are analysed (in terms of revenues ($ and
€ ), units, MW, price per watt and price per unit):
