Abstract
This study focuses on market analysis of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes
in Russia.
The work consists of 9 chapters, the volume of the report is 139 pages. The
text is illustrated with 45 tables and 25 figures.
Chapters 1-2 briefly introduces the properties of glass-basalt-reinforced
plastic pipes and demonstrate their basic competitive advantages compared with
other types of pipes.
Information presented in Chapter 3 on resources provision of commodity
production of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes - glass and basalt fibers
and resins, suggests that the industry in future will face constraints.
The chapter provides an overview of technologies for the production of plastic
pipes with an estimate of possible costs of their use.
Chapter 4 is the main part of the study. In addition to characteristics of the
industry, the chapter provides detailed information on all major
enterprise-producers.The main attention is paid to the analysis of production
and the definition of segments in which they operate.
In chapters 5 and 6 detailed analysis of foreign trade operations in
glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes is given, with data on dynamics of their
import and export, the main characteristic of the foreign producers operating
in the Russian market, the existing industries in the CIS countries.
Chapter 7 presents the practice of the use of glass-reinforced plastic pipes,
the prospect of development of their major end-uses, assesses the capacity of
the Russian pipe market in the oil industry and pipeline systems in housing
and communal services.
Chapter 8 provides information on domestic equipment for production of
glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes.
Compiling results of the analysis of all materials is presented in Chapter 9,
which provides expert assessment of the production of glass-basalt-reinforced
plastic pipes in Russia for the period up to 2015.
The major and primary source materials were the data of companies and
telephone interviews with their representatives. They allowed us to estimate
condition of the sector as a whole and position of each company, to make
adjustments to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service (FSSS) of
Russia, which inaccurately and incorrectly reflect the situation in the
industry. Foreign trade transactions were analyzed on the basis of data from
the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia. Information from regional media
produced considerable assistance in the work of experts on the market analysis.
LLC "InfoMine" hopes that this research will help professionals in their own
assessment of the market of glass-basalt-reinforced plastic pipes in Russia,
in making adequate decisions in the current market conditions.
