About POC Blood Gas and Electrolyte

The point of care (POC) devices in blood gas and electrolyte segment in IVD are employed for diagnosing the abnormal rate of metabolites in the blood. These devices are responsible for the measurement of the partial pressure of oxygen in the individual's body by detecting the concentration of vital elements such as sodium, potassium, and calcium (macro elements within the body). The results derived from these analyzers helps in accurate diagnosis of various non-communicable diseases (NCDs) including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), kidney failure, uncontrolled diabetes, severe infections and increasing in toxicity level due to drug overdose.
