About LCV

In Europe, LCVs refer to commercial carrier vehicles of gross vehicle weights up to 3.5 tons. Gross vehicle weight refers to the operating weight, that is, the maximum weight a truck can carry while being driven. This includes the actual vehicle weight as well as passengers, cargo, and fuel weight. LCVs in Europe include pick-up trucks and vans that are used to carry a wide range of goods or are utilized as passenger carriers.

LCVs play a crucial role in the delivery of time-critical goods, high-value goods, and support services. They are mainly used in space-strapped urban areas. LCVs vary by use, size, and type.

Technavio's analysts forecast the LCV market in Europe to grow at a CAGR of 3.04% during the period 2016-2020.
