About Less Than Truckload

Less than truckload (LTL) service is a type of transportation used for shipments that usually weigh less-than 10,000 pounds. An LTL freight does not utilize the full capacity of a semi-trailer. The transit time of LTL carriers is less than that of full-truckload service providers. In addition, using an LTL carrier is cost effective for customers as the shipment is transported for a fraction of the cost of hiring an entire truck.
