About traction transformers

One of the most vital components of a rolling stock is a traction transformer. It forms the most integral part of an electric traction system and helps in the smooth movement of motors such as locomotives, high-speed trains, and trams. For over a century now, these transformers have been used for traction in railways. It is considered to be the best alternative to conventional fossil-fuel based traction systems. It comes with various mounting options such as:

  • 25 kV AC 50 Hz
