TV subscription is a service that is delivered to the viewer using a cable or over the air, on paying a subscription fee for viewing a set of channels. TV subscription operators provide various services such as data, video, and voice services as per viewers' requirements. Earlier TV subscription was provided using both analog and digital cable. However, in late 2000s, digital cable TV gained traction, which gradually reduced the share of the analog cable TV segment.
