About Li-ion Battery for Mobile Phones

Li-ion batteries are rechargeable batteries that are used for powering Mobile phones. They produce energy for the devices. Currently, all mobile phones runs on Li-ion battery. The various advantages of Li-ion batteries, such as compact size, light weight, and increased power-generating capacity, has led to a rise in demand for these batteries from mobile phone users. These batteries generate power when ions move from the negatively charged electrode (anode) in a battery to the positively charged electrode (cathode) in the battery. When the battery discharges, the movement of ions from the anode to the cathode releases energy. On the other hand, during charging, electricity from the adapter forces the ions to return to the anode. Once the adapter is removed, this cycle starts again. With time, the ability to generate power deteriorates because ions get trapped in the anode.
