About 48V Micro Hybrid

Micro hybrid vehicles are equipped with a start-stop mechanism, which automatically shuts down the engine during idling and restarts it when accelerating. This mechanism helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions and ensures improved fuel efficiency. Through this mechanism, it is possible to save around 15 percent of fuel consumption. A 48V micro hybrid vehicle is designed in such a way that the 48V battery can capture energy while braking. This battery is also able to support higher loads such as air-conditioning and active chassis technologies. This newly designed battery offers effective electrical load management and reduces energy losses.

TechNavio's analysts forecast the Global 48V Micro Hybrid market to grow at a CAGR of 81.45 percent over the period 2013-2018.
