Abstract
Following a series of evaluation tests, the Standardization Administration of
China (SAC) announced in June 2008 that the T-MMB standard was selected as
mobile TV standard. At the same time, China' s State Administration of Radio
Film and Television aggressively promoted its own-developed CMMB mobile TV
standard. Currently, the T-MMB and CMMB standards are still locked in battle.
This report examines the current status of mobile TV network deployment and
business structures and models, and also analyzes problems in the development
of mobile TV in China.
