Abstract
This IDC study provides an analysis of the Canadian infrastructure outsourcing
market and its top service providers. It analyzes the front-page story on the
Canadian infrastructure outsourcing market that IBM and CGI have consolidated
their lead at the top and are winning more business than their competitors.
Their client base extends throughout Canada and across almost every vertical in
the market. The two firms, which rank number 1 and number 2, respectively, in
IDC' s top 10 list, combined to generate more than 30% of the industry' s revenue
in 2007.
"The big will get bigger," says Mark Schrutt, IDC Canada research manager,
Strategic Outsourcing. "IBM, CGI, and HP/EDS are expected to grow at higher
rates than the overall industry."
