Abstract
This study quantifies the U.S. monochrome laser A3 and A4 MFP and printer
market opportunities and analyzes its issues, trends, and product advances. It
contains 2003-2007 actual unit shipments, value of shipments (end-user
spending), and average selling value, whereas 2008-2012 data is projected.
"As the market moves from single-function to multifunction devices, IDC is also
seeing a developing trend toward A4 configurations for the monochrome laser
market, even in shared workgroup environments," says Keith Kmetz, program vice
president, IDC Hardcopy Solutions. "Hardcopy vendors would be wise to seek
opportunities in the monochrome laser A4 market for this segment' s remaining
growth."
