Abstract
This IDC study highlights the shipment and revenue market shares for enterprise
IP PBX (pure and hybrid) systems, IP telephony lines/seats, and desktop
hardware IP telephones for 2007.
"While the arrival of Microsoft and IBM' s unified communications solutions have
stimulated a lot of dialog and market hype around IP telephony, these solutions
have only just begun to dampen the growth of existing IP PBX shipments and IP
lines from the existing telephony providers," states Nora Freedman, a senior
analyst in the Enterprise Networks group at IDC.
