This IDC study is designed for IT and business leaders and functional leaders as well as their teams that are responsible for the creation and delivery of business capabilities. This study presents the results of IDC's 2015 Asia/Pacific Excluding Japan (APEJ) Digital Transformation MaturityScape Benchmark Survey and should be viewed as a supplement to IDC MaturityScape: Omni-Experience Digital Transformation. This document enables organizations to answer the following questions:How will affect the way we do business? What is the role of DX in supporting business change?Where are we on a maturity scale for DX competencies in terms of what the business needs?Where are our competitors? What's the path to improve and achieve the level of maturity that the business needs?"DX is not just another technology trend, but a critical business priority for many CEOs and their leadership teams across Asia/Pacific. Processes and business models that were optimal a few years ago are now outdated - or simply don't provide the speed and agility required to compete," says Daniel-Zoe Jimenez, associate director with IDC's Asia/Pacific Digital Transformation and Big Data/Analytics research group. "The APEJ region is at a very nascent stage - the largest percentage of organizations (45%) are Digital Resisters, as they fall in the first stage of DX maturity, compared with 14% in the United States. Organizations need to focus on accelerating their digital capabilities; otherwise, they will face irrelevance. If successfully done, this will help drive competitive advantage, grow revenue, and ultimately increase market share."
