"Block-based software-defined platforms will continue to hold their own in the software-defined storage market. This growth will primarily be driven by a rich and diverse set of low latency use cases and virtualization and containerization deployments across multiple industries and geographies," says Ashish Nadkarni, research director for Storage Systems at IDC.
