This IDC study sizes and forecasts the market for CXIT software and services in Western Europe in 2013-2018. The study presents collaboration between a wide range of expertise areas in IDC Europe - hardware, software, services, and telecom, as well as IDC's European Vertical Insight groups.

"Customer experience is characterized by its high complexity. European organizations that are looking for standard solutions need to adapt their CX solutions to specific target markets, as well as internal processes and systems. Consultants and integrators therefore play a key role in this market," said Mette Ahorlu, research director, IDC European Services. "It is important that vendors create ecosystems so they can cover a full spectrum of capabilities, including technology and services, and have pre-integrated offerings. Very few will be able to do all these by themselves, and clients will prefer best-of-breed combinations."
