This IDC study examines companies' attitudes toward voice network services, covering voice traffic and technologies as well as PBX use and management. It belongs to IDC's annual Western European Enterprise Communications Survey 2014, providing more insight in companies' attitudes toward cloud and hosting, fixed data, unified communications, video, network life-cycle services, and data network services in Western Europe, Sweden, and Benelux. It is completed by a webinar.

"Voice over IP is increasingly gaining strength across European companies as it becomes an alternative to their existing ISDN and PSTN lines, used for both incoming and outgoing traffic as well as internal calls. The investment intentions and usage patterns of the different types of VoIP alternatives - on premises, hosted, PC based, SIP trunking, and so on - is key to service providers if they offer a consistent and trusted service to those customers," said Sylvia Wunsche, research analyst, EMEA Telecoms and Networking team.
