This IDC Buyer Case Study analyzes case studies of successful implementation of innovation by banks in Asia, and how the IT and business departments come together for driving the business case for investment. It also identifies the key challenges and benefits sought by banks for innovation initiatives and their different approaches to innovation. For the purpose of this study, IDC interviewed CIOs (and their direct reports) across banks in the region through an open-ended discussion. These interviews were a mix of face-to-face as well as telephone-based discussions. The goal was to analyze how each bank viewed innovation as part of their transformation initiatives, as well as their investment areas and requirements from partners.
