Abstract
This IDC study provides the data analysis and insights based
on the 2010 China Gaming Industry Survey conducted by IDC
and the China Game Producers Association (GPC), including online gaming,
Web games, and offline PC games, as well as mobile
gaming and console and handheld gamer analysis.
"Due to the change
in population structure, the growth of China' s online gamer population
will further slow down in the next five years, and
the number of online gamers in China will reach 124
million in 2015, with 20102015 compound annual growth rate (CAGR)
of 10.2%. Meanwhile, with the diversification of gaming terminal devices
and game types, the needs and behavioral features of gamers
will also change significantly," says Tony Tan, senior research analyst,
Vertical Industry Research and Consulting, IDC China.
