Abstract

This IDC study focuses on CRM and analytics application implementations and future plans, including license/delivery model preferences of U.S. companies across all size segments, and is based on our AppStats Survey, #8, conducted in August 2009.

"Our study results would attest that in this troubled economy, U.S. companies are more inclined to make their choices among on-demand CRM applications based on the buying criteria of price and quality over loyalty and commitment to a current supplier, even if the offering from that supplier should possess functionality that is identical to that of a competitive offering," reports Mary Wardley, vice president of CRM Applications for IDC. "With this in mind, SaaS CRM applications vendors need to offer buyers both affordable solutions and identify for them upfront in the sales cycle which specific CRM capabilities will provide them with the greatest business benefit."
