This IDC study provides an overview of 2009 M&A deals
in the IT security industry and the different business, financial,
and technology trends affecting M&A activities. It also analyzes industry
and market dynamics driving current and future acquisitions in the
different IT security markets.

IT vendors are regaining their appetite for M&As. Security is
one of the IT markets where M&A activity is likely
to pick up in 2010 and beyond. We believe that
