Abstract
This IDC study examines the market dynamics of the content
management software market in Canada by analyzing current adoption trends
and preferred vendors. This study outlines Canadian enterprise investment plans
regarding content management as well as major inhibitors. CIOs were
also asked about their preferred methods. The essential guidance suggests
effective ways to target the right customer audiences that are
most likely ready to substitute and offers the best value
proposition and messages to present to them.
"While content management, including
records management and intranet/portals, is a reasonably mature market, we
expect that Canadian organizations will continue to invest in this
market, driven by the need to grow productivity through better
internal and external collaboration." Nigel Wallis, research director, Canadian
Applications Software and Services
